For the next week, I shall be called not by my name, but by "that girl"

By this point, to say "I'm trying new things" is a complete understatement. I've tried more new foods in the last week or so than i've ever wanted to in my life. But hey, most of it isn't half bad anymore. The first couple of bites are always the hardest. It's gotten (for the most part) to the point where i really don't care what I'm sticking in my mouth. If it's offered to me and doesn't look like it'll kill me, sure, what the hell, I'm in japan, i'll try it. I've eaten so much weird shit by now that i don't really care if it tastes bad. I'll just smile and say "oh! oishii ne!" and deal with it with some more ocha. I think this has been a really good experience for me so far though. Last time i was here...i was too young to appreciate what i saw from another set of eyes, and too uneducated to understand anything that was going on. and it helps that i know a bit of japanese now too =P Maybe i should come over here every 4 years and make it a habit =) that'd be nice. If i keep studying japanese, who knows, maybe next time i can come on my own...and know what's going on.

So hungry right now. Anyway, transfered from Akiko's house to Kuniko's house yesterday. She lives out in the country...it's really quite pretty. Finally got to see the sunset last night...i don't even remember the last time i got to do that. Maybe in .nz? It's been waaaaaay too long. But i'm glad. Saw the moon too ^^ Just a sliver.
